The Fabulous Kays Contract Rider
This Fabulous Kays rider is more a list of our basic needs to make your event the very BEST and most memorable that it can be. It is not a written in stone -non negotiable contract but more an informational guide to let you know what we need for your event. Please contact your East Coast Entertainment agent or The Fabulous Kays if you need to make changes and we will work these out for you.
1. Please print the bands name in all advertising as: The Fabulous Kays.
2. The Fabulous Kays need a stage with following dimensions to provide our best performance for you: --- 1 1/2 ft. in height --- at least 24 ft. wide by 18 ft. deep. If this cannot be provided please let the Fabulous Kays or your ECE agent know and we will do our best to work the staging out for you in any way we can.
3. Please allow us access to the place of your engagement 3 hours prior to our performance and also allow 2 hours for load out time after the engagement.
4. Employer/ Presenter will assume all responsibility for any and all damages to The Fabulous Kays equipment caused by any party not directly associated with the band, and for any damages to the artists equipment related to weather, (rain, wind, lightning) that occur during the duration of the performance.
5. Power requirements: ( We really need this amount of electricity to be able to offer you our very best performance without the always untimely interruption of power during our show) We need: Single phase 220 volt 100 amp service within 50 ft. of stage or access to a panel box within 50 ft. of stage. If you cannot supply the 220v 100 amp service with range plug or breakout box, we really need at least 5 (FIVE), 20 amp Regular Edison 110 volt outlets with each on its separate dedicated 20 amp circuit breaker.
6. If our performance is outdoors, an East Coast Entertainment Outdoor Rider must be enclosed and signed by the employer. Any outdoor performance will require that the stage be covered by awning or other material with additional awning or tent cover for our audio technician 30-50 ft. in front of the stage. (This is for general safety in case of rain, as this poses a real hazard with all of the electricity we have on stage and near the audio tech.)
7. Presenter/ Employer will agree to provide a dressing room for The Fabulous Kays that can comfortably accommodate 8 people. PLEASE no public restrooms. Also 1.5 hours before our performance in our dressing/ changing room please provide: 7 Diet cokes- 7 Bottled waters- 7 Regular Cokes- 7 Regular Coffee- 7 Sandwiches- (Chicken- Turkey- Roast Beef) or Deli tray for 7 people. Often we have no time after set up to leave the venue for dinner and this is greatly appreciated. Please provide soft drinks and ice water to our road crew during set-up, and to The Fabulous Kays during our performance.
8. Payment to The Fabulous Kays is as follows: Cash, School check, or Certified check or Money Order made payable to The Fabulous Kays Band. For your tax reference: The Fabulous Kays Band Employer ID # is PA-56-1267883.
9. The Fabulous Kays generally perform three 60 minute sets or four 40 minute sets, depending on your preference; however we are very flexible to changes on this item to best accommodate you and to make YOUR event a success.
10. If this event load-in involves any stairs, or over 100 feet of walking distance from the loading area to the stage, employer is to provide at his/ her expense, two stagehands to assist in unloading and re-loading of The Fabulous Kays equipment.
11. All special requests for songs that are not on The Fabulous Kays current song list (you can look here for up to date list-( http://www.kaysband.com/ ) must be cleared and accepted by Tony Pace (tpace@carolina.rr.com -704-568-9117) We will do our very best to accommodate your requests. In the event that the Fabulous Kays do agree to perform the special request, presenter must provide a cassette tape or CD and sheet music no later than 45 days from the date of the engagement.
We will be more than happy to honor your request for the one additional song that is not on our song list, however due to the great additional amount of rehearsal time outside of the hours that we will perform for you (and we really don’t mind that additional rehearsal time for one song) there may be some additional charges/fees for each additional song added after your first request. Please call Tony Pace @ 704-568-9117 to work this out.
This rider is hereby made a binding part of the original East Coast Entertainment contract.
